Now in its 28th year, the Djerassi Resident Artists Program is internationally recognized as one of the eminent artist residency programs. Kirsten Stolle Invited to Blue Mountain Center Artist in Residence

Stolle has just completed a residency at Blue Mountain Center in the Adirondacks of upstate New York. The application process is very competitive and the admissions committee is particularly interested in art that evinces social and ecological concern. Stolle also just had five of her paintings selected to be featured in Eleven Eleven, the annual journal of literature and art from California College of Art. Rob Douglas included in "Artscapes" and ART in Embassies program

Douglas' work was included in "Artscapes", an Exhibition of American Art and Fine Craft at the Knoxville Museum of Art, Knoxville, TN. His work was also selected to be part of the ART in Embassies program. This program was established by the United States Department of State in 1964, the ART In Embassies Program is a global museum that exhibits original works of art by U.S. citizens in the public areas of approximately 180 American diplomatic residences worldwide. Erik Gonzales included in 2008 Latin American Biennial and 2009 Florence Biennale

Tracey Adams in juried exhibition, Escondido Museum

For the exhibition "Contemporary Ruin", members of the Los Angeles Printmaking Society explore the stunning, uncomfortable and sometimes unpleasant aspects of the ruins of our contemporary society. Tracey Adams is also currently working on a commission for the lobby of the Nestle-Purina corporate office in Sanit Louis, MO, and ecently completed a commission for the lobby of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Rancho Mirage, CA. David Levinthal featured in Chanel Mobile Art exhibit

Levinthal was one of 20 international contemporary artists invited to participate in the exhibit which celebrates Chanel's 2.55 bag. The exhibit opened in Hong Kong in Feb 2008 and will travel through Feb, 2010 with stops in Tokyo, New York, London, Moscow and Paris. See more David Levinthal photographs. |

The 6 page article provides a solid history of Tor's backgound, motivations and intentions with his work. The article quotes Tor, "My work is a statement about our time. I see a need in contemporary society for a more grounded approach to life. Maybe as we become ultra high-tech oriented, it becomes more important to nurture the soul - the part that makes us human."
