Ursula O'Farrell - Emotion in Motion
12/28/12 - 01/23/13
Ursula O'Farrell's
abstracted, figurative paintings are reminiscent of the Bay
Area Figurative movement of the 1950's and 1960's. She
employs gestural strokes with brush or palette knife creating
thick textures and bold colors that reflect and capture the
fluidity and intense emotions that are part of life's chapters
and evolutions. Join us for the opening reception on Dec 28,
5:30-8pm.

Carol O'Malia: Nomads and Warriors
07/27/12 - 08/28/08
For this exhibition, O'Malia has created a series of figurative
paintings consisting of young men at work and at play. One
set of paintings focuses on men in a boxing ring and the other
consists of young men playing on or near a waterfront. For
O'Malia the paintings are an exercise in deconstructing the
rigor of work and the joy of play. See the available Carol O'Malia
paintings.

Teresa Kalnoskas and Brian Usher Dual Exhibitions
02/24/12 - 03/26/12
This dual exhibition combines cast glass sculptures by Brian Usher
and abstracted still life paintings by Teresa Kalnoskas.
Usher is an internationally exhibited artist - his work is
beautiful in its ability to have both a sense of weight and
delicateness. Kalnoskas' heavily textured paintings speak of
the essence of objects; their forms, the relationships to those
forms and their presence in space. The opening reception is
Feb 24, 5:30-8pm.

"Native Mumbling: Sori Sori" - New paintings by Hyunmee Lee
01/01/12 - 01/24/12
Hyunmee
Lee combines bold, expressive brushstrokes with soft,
subdued fields of color, thereby creating a strikingly beautiful
balance in composition and design. Lee was born in Korea
and her spontaneous yet deliberate brushstrokes pay homage
to the early training in calligraphy she received during her
childhood. The series of paintings within "Native Mumbling"
represent a personal arrival to a meditative state where the
Korean letters become gestures. The opening reception will
be Dec 30, 5:30-8pm.
