Stephen Foss, "Scent of Melting Snow"
01/25/13 - 02/19/13
Foss is widely known for the heavily worked surfaces and
saturated color that lead a return to manipulated finishes in
contemporary painting. Foss applies single colors in
systematic applications; he then manipulates the intersections
between colors to allow simultaneous exposure of layers and
compression of color. This results in paintings with rich varied
colors and great depth. The artist reception will be Feb 2,
5:30-8pm. Click here to see all of the available Stephen Foss
paintings.
